Wine Tasting Grape Portrait Chardonnay
This ancient and historic grape variety has its home in Burgundy, France thanks to the Romans and monks. Over time, it has also spread to almost all wine continents on the globe and is today one of the most cultivated grape varieties in the world. Chardonnay can be described as a chameleon and exhibits a variety of guises depending on where it is grown and how the winemaking is carried out. Together we sample four wines that represent some of our favorite expressions of this grape. The test will be held at Erstagatan 21 between 15:00 and 16:00. No prior knowledge is required. These vineyards benefit from cooling winds that give the wines freshness and energy, which several wine regions in Europe with warmer temperatures find difficult to emulate. \ At this tasting event, we will showcase four of our favorites from four different Alpine regions. Wine Tasting The New Germany
We take the temp of wine country Germany and explore their wine trends- beyond the national grape Riesling. In Germany, not only Riesling is grown but there are a variety of local grape varieties that offer us wine drinkers plenty to discover! Every season there seem to be new wines and trends that always surprise. We try a mix of white and red wines that represent the New Germany! Wine tasting MUST!
During this wine tasting, we explore wine styles that we usually call Orangevins. These wines have undergone a shell maceration that gives them extra delicious colors. The focus is on artisanal wines, produced by ambitious winegrowers in smaller volumes that deliver unique drinking experiences. This is a style that more and more people are curious about and that we love to explore! We try four different wines where the colors go in shades of gold, orange and copper. *We're setting up for an evening where two of Burgundy's most fabled villages are pitted side by side. * *Meursault vs Chassagne-Montrachet.What really differentiates them? Is it the soil? The exposure? The hand of the winemaker?
