Welcome to an introductory wine tasting where we will discuss the basics of wine! Have you ever felt lost among the shelves or just given up after trying to decipher a wine list? During this occasion we try 4 wines together and go through common terms and myths to make it easier for you to choose, serve and above all enjoy wine. Best of Champagne

This tasting we will try Bea's favorites from beloved Champagne! Champagne has created the framework for sparkling wines all over the world, the quality has never been better and the area never more dynamic than now! Major development has occurred in recent years, with new trends and a younger generation taking over small, unique estates. One often talks about grower champagne -- small volumes of exceptional bottles produced by small artisanal wine farmers. Together we try four different unique champagnes from some absolute favorites. The test will be held in Swedish between 17.30-18.30 at Erstagatan 21. No prior knowledge is required. Price 1800: -

Best of Pinot Noir

We take the temp on one of our French favorites — the blue grape Pinot Noir. Originally from Burgundy where the grape has its home, but is also grown elsewhere in France and the world, including the USA, Germany and South Africa. During this wine tasting, we discuss the place of cultivation and winemaking methods that characterize the character of the wines. What does it take to make the tastiest bottle? We sample four wines that represent different wine countries' expressions of Pinot Noir. The test will be held in Swedish between 17.30-18.30 at Erstagatan 21. No prior knowledge is required. Giro d'Italia

Long wine country Italy has the world's largest variety of indigenous grape varieties and almost every year wins the first place in wine production. Exciting wines are produced in all corners of Italy where each region specializes in its unique wine styles. During this wine tasting, we immerse ourselves in Italy's internationally acclaimed grape varieties and visit the most prominent regions. The test will be held at Erstagatan 21 between 15:00 and 16:00. No prior knowledge is required. Price 750.

Grape Portrait Chardonnay

This ancient and historic grape variety has its home in Burgundy, France thanks to the Romans and monks. Over time, it has also spread to almost all wine continents on the globe and is today one of the most cultivated grape varieties in the world. Chardonnay can be described as a chameleon and exhibits a variety of guises depending on where it is grown and how the winemaking is carried out. Together we sample four wines that represent some of our favorite expressions of this grape. The test will be held in Swedish at Erstagatan 21, starting at 17.30. No prior knowledge is required. Just in time for the white asparagus to land on our plates, we immerse ourselves in Germany's signature grape - Riesling. This is one of our favorite grapes made in snus-dry to sweet bottlings. These wines can therefore be enjoyed on most occasions and are suitable for a wide variety of dishes. During this tasting, we focus on German wine regions where Riesling dominates. The test is held between 15-16 pm on Erstagatan 21. No prior knowledge is required. Price: 700: -

Nevertheless, we must be honest and admit that France is very close to our hearts with us at Folii. Wines that we have appreciated for a long time, developed with and are constantly returning to. France offers the top tier of world production in all categories of wine. Classic, natural or challenging — there are wines for every taste and occasion. During this tasting session, we immerse ourselves in the history of France as a wine country and sample some of the most important grape varieties.

Underdogs- Odd Grape Varieties

We all have our favorite grapes that we return to but the wine world is much bigger than that. To broaden our horizons and challenge our tastes, we choose to highlight forgotten grape varieties, so-called “Underdogs.” We believe these grapes deserve more attention as they can offer us unique (and tasty!) drinking experiences out of the ordinary.
